CLIENT OBJECTIVES
Q Life, a leading cultural platform by the State of Qatar wanted to find a unique solution in how to enter the metaverse and engage younger audiences and educate them about Qatari culture.
HOW DID WE DO THIS?
Our in-house studio, Epicstudios.gg, brought an authentic piece of Qatar to the metaverse with the creation of the "Souq Waqif" experience on Roblox.
Designed as a bespoke, standalone world, "Souq Waqif" is an immersive coffee-themed role-playing game. It serves as a digital commons where players can meet, socialize, and connect with the richness of Qatari culture.
Key features include the ability to:
Explore: Navigate a detailed recreation of the famous Doha market.
Socialize: Interact with others in a traditional café and shop setting earning Riyal currency.
Experience Culture: Engage with local customs by tasting virtual cuisine, from Machboos to dates, and equipping avatars with traditional garments like the Abaya and Thobe.
